Yes. We have a dog menu and a dog club. Service dogs are welcome inside the tasting room. Other dogs are welcome in our outdoor areas as long as they remain leashed and under their owner’s control.
Do you allow children?
Yes. Cougar is family-friendly and does not have age restrictions. Guests under 21 must remain with an adult and be appropriately supervised at all times.
Do you allow outside food and drinks?
No. Outside food is not permitted, except for cupcakes or birthday cakes enjoyed alongside food and beverages purchased from Cougar. We offer food through Sangio’s Osteria, current wines on our Temecula Wine Tasting menu, several craft beers on tap, and non-alcoholic drinks. Outside alcohol is strictly prohibited under ABC licensing requirements.
What is your group policy?
Groups of 10 or more must call or email us in advance to arrange their visit. A 20% automatic gratuity is added to all orders for groups of 7 or more.
What is your photography and drone policy?
Photography or drone use in the vineyard, or outside regular business hours, must be coordinated in advance with Cougar management. All other photography and drone footage must respect the privacy of other guests and may not interfere with their experience.
Do you need a reservation?
Reservations are required on weekends for groups of 6 or more. During the week, we recommend reservations for larger groups. Smaller groups are welcome without a reservation, but if you prefer a specific seating area, making a reservation is the best way to ensure availability.
Why do you only grow Italian varietals?
Italian grape varieties thrive in Temecula’s warm, Mediterranean-style climate. Many are naturally suited to heat and sunshine, while some Bordeaux varieties can struggle in Temecula’s hotter conditions.
Do you make your own wine?
Yes. All Cougar wines are produced, aged, and bottled on-site at Cougar Winery. We occasionally purchase fruit from other growers for varietals we do not grow ourselves, but the winemaking is always done here.
What is the price range of your wine?
Wine tastings are $22 per person for six 1-ounce pours. Wines by the glass are $10 for white wine and $15 for red wine. Bottles of white wine generally range from $26–$39, while red wines range from $36–$61.
What is the price range of your restaurant?
Sangio’s Osteria offers appetizers from $7–$28, salads from $15–$19, sandwiches from $12–$17, entrées from $14–$17, and desserts from $3–$8.
Do you distribute your wine?
Yes. Cougar wines are available at select local restaurants in Temecula and Idyllwild. If you’re interested in carrying our wines or olive oil, please contact the winery.
Do you offer a Military discount?
Yes. Active-duty military receive 10% off wine purchases.
Do you sell gift cards?
Yes. Digital gift cards are available through our online shop, and physical gift cards are available in the tasting room. You choose the dollar amount.
Do you serve beer?
Yes. We offer a rotating selection of craft beers on tap.
What is the cost of wine tasting?
Wine tasting is $22 per person for six 1-ounce pours from our regular tasting menu. For $30 per person, you can keep the Cougar logo wine glass.
What happens if I don't pay my tab and leave?
Please remember to sign your tab before leaving. If you leave with an unpaid tab and we have a credit card on file, we will charge the outstanding balance and add an automatic 20% gratuity.
Do you have tours?
Yes. We offer semi-private guided winery tours with tastings and pairings. To request a reservation, email events@cougarvineyards.com with your preferred date and time, number of guests, and any pre-purchased voucher numbers. Tours are generally available Monday–Friday at 11 AM, with additional weekday times possible, and Saturday–Sunday after 2 PM. Please allow about 90 minutes for the full experience. We will respond within 2 business days to confirm availability.
What is your Donation Policy?
Because we receive many donation requests, we currently accept donation requests only from active Cougar wine club members. Donations are limited and subject to availability each year.
How do I get booked as one of your musicians?
Please send your information and booking inquiry to music@cougarvineyards.com.
